Excel dashboards from your spreadsheet
Attach a spreadsheet in chat and ask for a dashboard. ZenithAI reads the table, chooses the measures and charts that fit your data, checks every number, and gives you an Excel workbook you can open, print and share. No formulas to write and no pivot tables to set up.
Make a dashboard
Section titled “Make a dashboard”- Start a chat and attach your Excel (.xlsx) or CSV file.
- Ask for a dashboard in your own words, in English or Hinglish:
- Make a sales dashboard by region and month for FY 2025-26.
- Create a dashboard of overdue invoices by customer, top 10 only.
- Expense dashboard for the West zone, excluding travel.
- Is file ka dashboard banao.
- While it works you see Reading the table… and Choosing KPIs and charts….
- The reply says Created with the file name and lists the key findings. Download the workbook from the card.
Old .xls files are refused when you attach them; save them as .xlsx first. Save a tab-separated file as .csv. The dashboard uses the last spreadsheet attached in the chat.
If your file has several sheets or tables, ZenithAI asks which one to use:
Which source table should the dashboard use? Choose a sheet or a named Excel table.
- Sales: columns Date, Region, Amount and 4 more, 12,480 rows
- Returns: columns Date, Item, Qty, 640 rows
Reply with the number or the sheet name.
Answer in your next message with the number (2, second), the sheet name, or a column that only one table has. Name the sheet in your first request and it doesn’t ask. Reply cancel to stop the request.
It may also ask one question about scope, for example whether Q3 means the financial-year quarter (April to March) or the calendar quarter.
What you get
Section titled “What you get”A workbook named after the dashboard, for example Sales performance.xlsx, with these sheets:
| Sheet | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Dashboard | One landscape page: title and scope, four KPI cards (in ₹ crore or lakh, with the exact figure under each), up to four charts, up to six Key findings and Data notes |
| Analysis | The tables behind each chart |
| Data | Your records, as read |
| Exceptions | Rows that need a look, when there are any |
| Quality | Checks that the groups add up to each KPI, how many records were used, duplicates, and problems found in the data |
| Definitions | How each measure is calculated |
- Live formulas. Totals and counts are live Excel formulas over the Data sheet when the table has up to 50,000 cells. A larger table gets fixed figures, and the workbook says so.
- Indian formats. Lakh and crore grouping, DD-MM-YYYY dates and financial years such as FY 2025-26 and Q1 FY 2026-27.
- Charts. Bar, line and table views: line charts for dates and months, sorted bars for categories.
Every number is checked
Section titled “Every number is checked”- Codes are never added up. Columns such as GSTIN, invoice or bill numbers, phone numbers and PIN codes are counted or grouped, never summed or averaged.
- Your scope is kept. Words such as only, excluding, top 10, a month or a financial year bind the dashboard, and the Quality sheet notes it.
- Labels and findings are recalculated from your data. If any figure does not match, you get no file and a plain message instead of a wrong dashboard.
- Hidden problems are shown, not hidden. Numbers or dates stored as text, error cells, merged cells, two-row headers, blank or duplicate headers, subtotal rows, ragged CSV rows and hidden rows or sheets are listed on the Quality sheet. Missing values are never counted as zero. Hidden rows are included unless you say exclude hidden rows.
If you ask for a chart kind it can’t make, such as a pie or a map, the reply says, for example: Not built: pie. This dashboard supports bar, line and table views only, so it was built from your data with the supported views (2 bar and 1 line).

Dashboard, analysis workbook or CSV to Dashboard?
Section titled “Dashboard, analysis workbook or CSV to Dashboard?”| You want | Use |
|---|---|
| A one-page summary with KPIs and charts, in Excel | Ask for a dashboard (this page) |
| Your rows copied with counts and totals, no charts chosen for you | Ask for an analysis without the word dashboard: Analyse your own spreadsheet |
| A dashboard as one HTML file, with the data kept in your browser | The CSV to Dashboard agent |
Saying no dashboard, or a dashboard only if the data allows, gives you the analysis workbook.
Common questions
How do I make a dashboard from my Excel file in ZenithAI?
Attach the Excel (.xlsx) or CSV file in chat and ask for a dashboard in plain words, for example make a sales dashboard by region for FY 2025-26. ZenithAI reads the table, picks the measures and charts, checks every number and gives you an Excel workbook to download.
What is in the dashboard workbook?
A Dashboard sheet with four KPI cards, up to four charts and key findings, then Analysis, Data, Quality and Definitions sheets. An Exceptions sheet is added when some rows need a look. Totals are live Excel formulas where the table is small enough.
How big can my spreadsheet be for a ZenithAI dashboard?
One table of up to 250,000 rows, 80 columns and 5,000,000 cells, in a file of up to 32 MB. A larger file gets a message asking for a copy with only the table you need.
Can ZenithAI add up GSTIN or invoice number columns by mistake?
No. Columns of codes and IDs, such as GSTIN, invoice, bill, phone or PIN numbers, are only counted or grouped, never added up or averaged. Every title, label and figure in the findings is recalculated from your data before you get the file.
Which chart types can a ZenithAI dashboard have?
Bar, line and table views. Line charts are used for dates and months, sorted bars for categories. If you ask for another kind, such as a pie or a map, the dashboard is built with the supported views and the reply says what was not built.
What is the difference between an Excel dashboard and CSV to Dashboard?
An Excel dashboard is made in chat and gives you an Excel workbook with formulas. CSV to Dashboard is an agent that reads the file in your browser and gives you a single HTML dashboard to share. Use whichever format your team opens.
